Gentle Yoga provides slower-paced environment that works well for beginners and is supportive of those on a physical or emotional healing journey. This practice can also compliment a more difficult workout realigning the body, while calming the mind. In class we will explore poses, meditation, pranayama, and somatic movements which are helpful toward rebalancing mind and body, as well as relieving chronic pain. Come move at your own pace and improve your balance, strength and flexibility while calming your nervous system in this adaptive and playful experience.

Morning Stretch

Begin your day with an invigorating practice that aims to improve your strength, flexibility and breath awareness.  This class is designed to wake up your body in a gentle way and provides yogic tools to help you approach your day with more presence, focus and resilience.  Suitable for all levels.

Lunch Time Yoga

Think of this class as a pause in your busy day, a breath of fresh air for your body and mind.  Focusing on posture, structural alignment and mindful movement.  You will leave the class refreshed and clearheaded. Suitable for all  levels.

Spineful Yoga

3.30 - 4.45 pm

 

Yoga with your spine in mind.  This class focuses on relaxation and recreating symmetry in the body.  Expect simple and straight forward instruction with plenty of hands on adjustments.  This class is especially perfect for beginner students  as well as seasoned participants .

Beginning Yoga

Perfect for anyone who has never practiced yoga, or anyone returning to yoga after a long pause.  The instructor gently guides each participant with step by step instruction, helping you learn the basic principles of yoga, while assisting you with any accomodations you may need.

Beach Yoga

Interact with the beauty of our natural environment, while practicing yoga. Beach Yoga classes are held every weekend at Harbor Beach, weather permitting.  The class meets to the left of the volley ball nets.  Bring a blanket or large towel to practice on.  In the event of cold and rain, the class will be taught at the studio on 41st Ave at  9.00am.  Please check the website each weekend to see if the class will be at the beach or the studio.

Postnatal

Thurs
11.00am - 12.00 pm

 

A gentle class of yoga, stretching and movement. The focus will be on regaining strength and flexibility, while connecting with other new moms. Babies  (not yet on the move) are welcome, as well as feeding, changing and any other needs baby may have during class.

Core

Weds • Friday
4.00 - 5.00 pm

 

 

Focuses on strengthening and toning the core.  It is a hybrid class incorporating  yoga and pilates.   The class is fun and invigorating and uses small Pilates balls helps to intensify the workout.  This class is a perfect blend of hard work, stretch and finisheswith a series of restorative poses to perfectly restore the mind and body.

This class is taught by Melissa Cuddihy.

 

Prenatal

Center yourself and connect with your body while you grow your little one. This class is designed to help you take care of yourself, strengthen and stretch as you prepare to give birth.

Aroma Yoga

This class is a unique combination of aromatherapy, gentle movement and breath meditation.  Essential oils can profoundly change your body, mind and emotions instantly.  Enjoy this pampering experience and leave your yoga mat feeling calm, balanced and renewed.   This class is perfect for first time students as well as seasoned yogis.

Gentle Yoga

This gentle class combines yoga postures, breathing and meditation.   It is a class that is geared towards students who wish to move at a slower pace.  No yoga experience is required.  Gentle yoga provides  a beautiful way to softly wake up the body and stretch yourself out.

Yin Yoga

Thursday
6.30 - 7.30 pm

 

Yin is  different from most other types of yoga, in the sense that it  is a passive & therapeutic yoga, that places a positive stress on the facia system.  Relaxed postures are held for several minutes, allowing adhesions to break up, removal of blockages and improving energy flow.  Leave feeling relaxed.

Improve your posture, get muscle definition, increase your flexibility and reduce stress.  This class is perfectly fine for pregnant women because is is low impact, it may even help with imbalance and stability.

Mini Movers

Wednesday

9.00 - 9.45 am

 

A class for mamas to bring your little one, for a quick basic yoga class. This is the followup class after postnatal yoga ( approx ages between 1 and 2 1/2).  Interact with your little movers whilst focusing on stretching and some basic poses. It provides an opportunity for you to socialize with other moms, bond with your child and allow yourself some time for you and babe! The littles mostly play and interact with each other but are also incorporated into the class periodically with song, movement &  play .
