Spinefulness: Feet, Movement & Meditation

Tues           5.30-7 pm

Learn to strengthen and reshape the arches of your feet. Practice functional movement that keeps you strong and safe in everything you do. Expect to refine the way you walk, stand, sit, bend and recline to create more ease and relaxation in the body. Suitable for beginners and those who want to continue their Spinefulness practice.

Beginner Spineful Yoga

Perfect for anyone who has never practiced yoga, or anyone returning to yoga after a long pause.  The instructor gently guides each student with step by step instruction, helping you learn the basic principles of yoga, while assisting you with any accommodations you may need. A very safe way to start practicing yoga, even if surgery or injury is part of your story.

Yoga with Amey

This Iyengar based class is sure to appeal to seasoned yoga students, but because of Amey's natural ability to teach, students new to yoga are welcome.  Amey teaches with a light hearted blend of humor,  stories and lots of encouragement to help students feel safe and challenged.

This class is held the last Friday of every Month

Core

Focuses on strengthening and toning the core.  It is a hybrid class incorporating  yoga and pilates.   The class is fun and invigorating and uses small Pilates balls helps to intensify the workout.  This class is a perfect blend of hard work, stretch and finishes with a series of restorative poses to perfectly restore the mind and body.

Hatha Flow

Take a pause in your day to invigorate your body and mind with this  Hatha Flow class.  You will  be  mindfully led through a series of  salutations,  poses , breath work and a short mediation to reset your mind & body.

Gentle Yoga

This gentle class combines yoga postures, breathing and meditation.   It is a class that is geared towards students who wish to move at a slower pace.  No yoga experience is required.  Gentle yoga provides  a beautiful way to softly wake up the body and stretch yourself out.

Yoga for Healthy Aging

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a practice made up of simple exercises that anyone can do daily that will help strengthen and stretch the body while focusing the mind and helping to tap into one's breath. Chair yoga is accessible to everyone. It is the perfect solution for office workers, commuters, artists, business owners, the elderly, the overweight, those with limited range of motion, and even couch potatoes! It is the most accessible form of yoga because it is done in a seat and is easy enough for all levels. Please come see for yourself why chair yoga is a fun and thorough work out.

Beach Yoga

Sat  & Sun

9.00 - 10 am                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Interact with the beauty of our natural environment, while practicing yoga. Beach Yoga classes are held every weekend at Harbor Beach, weather permitting. Park in the Crowd Nest Car Park at the Harbor, the class meets to the left of the volley ball nets.  Bring a blanket or large towel to practice on.  In the event of cold and rain, the class will be taught at the studio on 41st Ave at  9.00am.  Please check the website each weekend to see if the class will be at the beach or the studio.
